A Salute in Red: In North America and Europe during World War II, red lipstick became a symbol of patriotism, courage, and ultimately, victory over oppression. Iconic makeup brands at the time created their own unique red shades; their own versions of "patriotism in a handbag."

Our shade A Salute in Red is a faithful reproduction of a WWII patriotic lipstick from our own historical collection.

    Stunning Gift Set

    This is my second order from Starlight Vintage Cosmetics and it did not disappoint. What a gorgeous gift set. The box is such lovely quality and the perfect place to store all five of the lipsticks. I love each lipstick shade! They all seem to suit me and are perfect for different seasons and occasions. I’m having a difficult time choosing a favourite. I think Holly’s Peach is the perfect nude for me. It is so flattering on. The brooch is so pretty! I collect vintage brooches and this is the perfect addition to my collection. I will be wearing it to all my Holiday parties. Don’t hesitate to order this set. It’s gorgeous!

    Absolutely love my Lipstick!

    A little wait coming from Canada to the UK nothing more than you'd expect. Amazing packaging, with dust bag and care instructions. Really no expense spared, absolutely love it. The lipstick itself has weight behind it with it being in a metal casing, giving that vintage and expensive feel to it. The colour is vibrant and last for a good length of time before needing to be reapplied. Love it and will be ordering more and waiting for the refills! Thanks x

    I have been using another vintage lipstick brand for years so I was very excited to be introduced to Starlight Vintage Cosmetics. I received my first tube today. I am blown away! The presentation is second to none. It came carefully packaged in a beautiful box complete with care instructions and a velvet pouch to protect the case between uses. The tube is unbelievable. It is so luxurious and well made. I am a Gemmologist and I work in fine vintage and antique jewelry. The quality of the stones and their setting is very impressive. It looks like I spent a fortune on this lipstick. What a great value.
    I love this colour. It’s the perfect classic cool toned red. It smells lovely and is smooth and highly pigmented. The shape of the bullet is so authentically vintage.
